My 1st 180 Podmod, Light switches

Voisj, thanks for the detailed instructions and photos for installing the light switches inside the door. I was inspired (and able, thanks to you!) to do the same. Much more convenient getting in and out of the trailer, and you made me look like a hero to the wife!

Yup, ours is also a (2017) RP-180. As far as I can tell, circuit groups are the same as what you've outlined above, but the numbering is different on my mine. I only installed a 2-switch unit, connected to fuses 5 & 6 (hoping for overhead/dinette and sink based on your notes). But #6 turned out to be the other overheads, bed area, and outside light on mine instead of the sink--I assume also the slide, although I didn't test that. Simple to change by switching to fuse #7.

Also, I installed the switch lower on the back of the dinette bench than you did--partly because there's more space to run the wiring and recess the switch than up inside the narrow seat back, and partly so the switch would be at my wife's arm-level when stepping up into the R-Pod or reaching in from outside at ground level. I did take your good advice about using a utility knife vs. a saw.
