Hi!  My husband and I just picked up our 2017 Rpod 171 and will take her on a maiden camping voyage next weekend. We've got a 4-year old son who can't wait to test her out:).  Following loads of research and the anxiety-inducing experience of driving/backing her in for the first time, we are ready to simply ENJOY!

Any other pod people with young kids out there?  I would love to hear what your experiences have been like!  And thanks to everyone in this community for your posts.  We found them quite helpful as we navigated the research/purchasing process!!!

Welcome Ginger! Congratulations. We, too are new R-Pod owners (we purchased a 179). We were a bit nervous about driving and backing her up as well. Driving was easy, the backing up part had a larger learning curve Smile. Everyone says practice, practice, practice. That's what worked for us...

Congratulation on your new R-Pod! We've only been camping in ours once. It was great! What makes me nervous is turning. The R-Pod cuts the corners more than our other trailer did.

Welcome and congrats on your new POD! We found out that my husband gives better directions than I do, so often I will do the backing up and he will direct me. Works well for us!

Happy trails!
