MTBMitch, I'm curious if you did this as a permanent solution and if it really works.  I just bought a bike rack for the back and was looking for something simple and cheap to do with the spare.  Most of our travels are no more than 500 miles.

The product (see below) comes with the instructions on how to recess the dispenser. It's pretty simple, you just need to make sure you've got a wall with the space available.

I started by determining I only had two wall options in the 178, behind the toilet and in front of the toilet. Both the left and right walls didn't have the space available. I determined it would be too difficult to turn around, while seated, to get to the dispenser so it had to go in the wall in front.

I removed the panel on the outside of shower that lets you access the back of the shower/faucet and using a flashlight figured out what would be in the way and from there determined my favorite location. Once I knew my spot then I just followed the rest of the directions to cut and install the dispenser.

We've really like it. We just shut it to take a shower and the TP stays dry, but we don't have the old problem of being without TP after sitting down when you realized the person who took a shower had to remove the roll. Cry

Nice mods. What did you use to attach the shelves to the walls?

Thanks,

Just a few improvements to our pods. Added a removable shelve above the drawers. Addded 2 cabinets on each side of the bed.20160215_173429.jpg20160215_173511.jpg20160215_173544.jpg

You might want to shrink the pics a bit.

Sorry for long delay, been building a garage. This tire relocation works just fine. Reduces the weight about 12.5 pounds compared to the rear tire rack. Also no more spare tire coming loose on washboard fire roads.
