I agree, at least 100 watts, 200 if you plan on boondocking a ton.

I haven't used mine yet on my 183g but the dealership recommended the 120 watt which is what I got.
And my panels also are not zamp, so the dealer actually replaced the zamp plug on the side with the plug for my solar panels.

I cannot remember the name of mine but I can look later.   The dealership didn't deal with Zamp as they cost a lot more than the ones they sell.

What wattage system is recommended for R-Pods?  Also, if we get one of the Rongy systems what other pieces would be needed?  What is and SAE plug, is this what is needed for the RPod system?

If you get a Zamp solar suitcase, although more expensive:
1) You get the correct connector
2) The controller is part of the panel on the EZ View Bracket, and therefore just plug and charge
3) You have more choices of solar wattage (40 - 200w)

Yes, if you buy a system elsewhere, the only issue will be the plug, most systems come with an SAE plug, but if what you buy doesn't, then they can be found easy, and cheap.

You do need to make sure you get a complete system, panels and charge controller. Most prefer the "suitcase" style, so the panels and controller are mounted together and can be moved/aimed for better sun coverage. Renogy makes a set that has been popular, around $250 on Amazon, 100 watt folding set.

I just bought my new R-Pod 176. On the side for solar plug in it says use only ZAMP solar systems. Now I have looked at them and they seem to be 2-3 times more than other solar systems. Is this an issue or can you use other brands as long as you use a regulator of sorts. Thanks and I look forward to your responses.
