Years ago, we owned an RP-151, used it for a bit, then sold it.  We've not really been camping since, but have the desire to start again.  We spent sometime today at the only local R-Pod dealer in our area.  He has a 2016 on the lot that we looked at, but it was pending sale.  He said if we'd get one, it would be a 2017 model.

So, my question is, how can we find out (or maybe someone here may know), the differences between the 2016 and 2017 RP-180?

Thanks in advance.

FR doesn't design or make production changes base on year day like auto manufacturers do. You have to actually define this by the model itself. Many of the recent changes include: a kick jack extension on the front jack, an under sink mount with a flush top, and a redesigned axle that eliminats the need for risers.

Thanks. I really appreciate that. The dealer says he won't be getting them in for 4 weeks.

We are also about to pull the trigger on a 180.  Forest River would not mention what the differences are with the 2017 model and said the price increase is minimal.  In fact Couch and matching dealers have not increased their price so might as well find a 2017 for the same price as a 2016.  In terms of what is new, this is what I found.  The shower stall is now rounded and the shower curtain connects on top AND bottom so no water splashing onto the floor.  I consider this a big improvement.  Also they now give you a hard plastic propane case (do not know if it holds two tanks or just one) but this is cheap item (only $30 to replace).  There are other changes but Forest River would not tell me.

Thanks.  I think that's a huge plus on the newer models.

Thanks. Yesterday, the dealer said the 2017 RP-180 will be built at the end of May, so I still have some time to wait.

Today is the day.  Out at the diner, then heading to the dealer to pick which color option on the RP-180 we want.  If all goes well, we'll seal the deal and do all the paperwork and bring it home next weekend.
