CPAP shelf

I use a CPAP machine. I am purchasing an R-Pod 179 (will pick up Monday, the 7th). Has anyone installed a shelf to hold a CPAP machine? If so, how? Installing a 12 volt outlet should not be too hard, but I'm not sure how to add one or more shelves. My wife is asking about one for holding her cell phone for both charging and for when she is using it as a "white noise" generator.

Hopefully, once we pick it up, we will be better able to see what can be done.

Hopefully, we both will find a solution to the problem.

I have been looking in the mods section and will be looking more closely. The question is going to be what kind of fasteners and how long they can be going into the ceiling without risking going through the outer fiberglass roof. It would be nice if there were a parts list specifying such things. I haven't come across one yet.

I don't have a CPAP machine (yet) but we have a 179 and many nights, my wife and I each have to get up.  We solved the problem by fixing the dining area so that it makes a much better bed. 

We junked the table, the two quirky corner cushions, the old couch back cushion and the spacer cushion and got a matching cover for the seat from FR.   Then we went to a local foam store and got a piece of foam to fill the cover, which came with a zipper.  That became the back of the dining area (or the seat - it makes no difference).  I cut a piece of 3/4" plywood to slide out when the bed is needed.  For eating, we got two folding TV-type tables from Target.  They store on the floor under the couch/bed while traveling - or sleeping. 

It takes only a minute or two to pull an extra sleeping bag from the rear "hassock," pull out the plywood, flop the seat back down onto the plywood, and crawl into the new bed, if needed.  And the little tables can go outside more easily than trying to drag that old table out.  In addition, the resulting bed is much simpler and we no longer have problems with one or more cushions slipping out of place during the night. 

During the day, that new cushion does stick up quite a bit higher than the original, but we can still see out.  Maybe not a perfect solution, but it's simple and it has worked well for us.  It might even work better for a small family than the original five-cushion bed. 

Finally, it seems to me that the CPAP machine would fit on the floor next to the outlet and be available for either bed.
