Rpod 179 new owner here. So we just bought the 2015 rpod in MI, headed south to Austin, TX. We stopped for gas in MO, went in rpod and dicovered the near the ground monoxide/propane sensor going off. Not sure why. Aired it out and sensor wuit alarming. Anybody have this phenomena happen? Furnace was off. Propane stove was off. Propane was shut off.   My wife has noticed funny odor in pod ever since we bought it, but it does not smell like the additive they put in propane to me??

Ok. Looking at your map I'd say you guys have been around. Is that all ONE Rpod or a group of you? All the way to Kenai and you fidn't stop by oyr house? We live just south of Ninilchik in Happy Valley. Thanks for the advice. Being as you seem to be living in your pod have you found some good ways to keep it dry inside?

We had our monitor go a month or two after we bought our 2015 179. Wen to our dealership and got a replacement under warranty, popped it in and all has been fine since.

We were showing off a previous trailer to friends. During the process somebody bumped into the knob on our stove, which sent fumes into the detector, letting us know the detector works.

The detector on the floor is only for LP.

I learned the hard way this summer that while 90% of US suppliers use the same additive, 10% uses various other chemicals which can have a different smell than the rotten eggs you expect.  My wife bumped one of the knobs on our stove just a bit on the last day of a long trip, and it took a week at home to figure out where the smell was coming from because to us it smelled like a dead mouse.  I had filled up that tank earlier on our trip in NC and not at our usual local store.  Our local LP has the usual sulphur smell.

In the fall when I'm running my leaf blower near they Pod if I happen to get too near the furnace intakes while I'm doing it the fumes will set off the LP alarm in my Pod.  I don't have one of the combo LP/CO ones.

So they can at least in my scenario be sensitive to things other than just LP.

Travis - odd since the intake/exhaust has no connection to the inside.  Maybe the exhaust from the blower is seeping through the door, and it has unburned fuel in it which is triggering the alarm.

RoadToad - They must have changed that in the newer models.
