any tips on dealing with condensation under the mattress? we have the original mattress (works fine for us) and today found 2 oval shaped, body sized damp spots on the plywood under our bodies. have been camping down the oregon coast in lots of rain, but the wet spots do not appear to be leaks, rather body moisture? thanks in advance

Any time the A/C isn't running you need to have a window and the vent cracked open, any season. Was it closed up?

no, open, but still had some condensation even with the vent fan running

Odd, it sounds like the humidity coming off of your bodies is condensing on the cool plywood. Not sure what I would try for that. A vapor barrier under the mattress would still allow the moisture to collect there. Maybe a layer of aluminum foil under the mattress would allow more heat to collect on that boundary as it reflects off of the foil, preventing the moisture? Aluminum in the form of Reflectix is added to roof joists sometimes to reflect summer heat back out.

facebook rpod owners group...one suggestion was pool noodles under the mattress when not in use. am going to monitor daily, even thought about the heat tape used on roofs to prevent ice dams...might keep us warm too??

When not camping having one or two DriZAir inside might help. That is what I use in between camping trips. As well as having the roof vent and window slightly open.
