Our 179 came with nitrogen in the tires I know the advantages of nitrogen in tires (that's the only thing allowed in commercial aircraft tires) but the practicality of using nitrogen is hard to grasp. I am religious about checking tire pressures but I'm no going to run around with a bottle of nitrogen. Anyone else just topping of with air?

I apologize if this subject has been broached before but nothing came up in my search.

Yep, just air.  Works fine.  As I understand it, the benefit to using nitrogen is that it doesn't dissipate through the tires as quickly as air.  But plain ol' air works just fine.

"air" is like 78 percent Nitrogen.. so.. and a lot of the theory revolves around molecule size, so that bit of oxygen that gets out due to it's smaller size, will be made up with nitrogen when you top off.

...a profit source for dealerships. It does, however, reduce pressure fluctuation attributed to temperature changes.
