I'm picking up my new 2016 172 on Thursday. I have never owned any form of RV before; I'm an avid backpacker and will continue to be, but when I'm not in the backcountry, the trailer will be the lap of luxury. I'm getting to the age that when I don't really need to tent camp I'd rather not. I plan to store it in winter for now, but when I retire I hope to use it to take extended trips to try new backcountry ski destinations. I'll have lots of cold weather use questions so thanks in advance. I really appreciate all the information here and I'm happy to be a new RPod owner.

Welcome, from Cascade, whatever model, you have selected, will do just fine. With just the wife and myself the 179 was our choice. Again welcome and maybe we'll cross paths.
