Yup. Basically the tire or two bikes. The receiver needs to be reinforced to carry more, but you will get dinged on any warranty issues on the frame.

On my 2015 171 I noticed that the spare tire is attached to a 1 1/4 hitch receiver. I know that relocation of the spare tire has been discussed on here, but I was curious as to the weight restrictions of that mount if a cargo carrier was used instead. I have to pick up my trailer from the dealer this week and was going to ask them, but thought I would throw out the question on here first.
P.S., Sorry if this has been discussed already. I tried searching the forum and couldnt find any specific info regarding this. |
