Calendar Event: Advice for a first timer Posted: 08 Sep 2015 at 9:49pm |
Hi,
I just purchased a slightly used(looks totally new) 2014 176 RPOD. Picking it up next weekend and jumping right into a weekend away. Any suggestions on must have's, tips etc... would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure the dealer will go over the basics but I need a good overview on all things rpod. Thanks for your help. |

Welcome to the group!! Congrats on your 176!! Make sure the tech person shows/demonstrates everything from one end of the pod to the other. Take a video or notes on how everything worksand starts.

Congratulations on your new POD! You don't mention if this is your first camp trailer so I would say get a cheapo Harbor Freight special 1/2" drive torque wrench and a socket for the wheel lugs and keep it with you. Make it a habit to check the torque before each trip and periodically along the way. Have Fun!

Hi,
It's most definitely my first trailer. Feeling a little overwhelmed. Already watched a couple of long video on you tube. Seems like a lot to get your arms around. |

Welcome. This weekend do a test trial in "camp driveway". You'll quickly figure out the big stuff you need to add (or remove). Keep your phone or a notepad handy to make a list of stuff you need to buy - and keep that notepad for future trips because there's always something that needs refilling.
See the link in my signature for lots of info. |
