Yes, this happened to my 2010 171.  After a lot of diagnosis (including working with Dometic) the place I took it for service thought it was likely the gas valve on the fridge.

A tip, get a wireless remote thermometer and keep the receiver in the TV with you on trips.

All of the fridges are basically the same, so if they've already fiddled with the orifice and chimney, they gas valve would be next. It just isn't cheap to replace!

The fridge in our previous popup would always go out when I towed it with the propane on.  Our 2014 177 has no problem driving hundreds of miles on the interstate with the propane lit, so obviously something is wrong with yours.  However, lots of people never use the propane when driving, but only use 12v.  Have you tried that?  As long as your tow vehicle is properly wired, you should be recharging your battery continually while driving.  You just have to make sure you don't leave it connected if you stop for longer than 20 minutes or so, or you could kill your tv battery.

I realize that doesn't fix the problem, but it might be the easiest way to handle it.

Unfortunately most TVs aren't wired properly to handle the fridge load (10-11 amps). Aftermarket shops and even factory-installed wiring is usually 12 gauge. Add on a low pod battery after a weekend of camping and you might as well leave the fridge off.

Easier to just use the propane mode on the road.
