We're in our first year of rpodding and so far having fun but we're finding "issues" as we learn what we like.  One of these is light and heat coming in through the bathroom vent.

I'm looking for a vent cover to keep heat in or out as needed and block sun.  It looks like this is the better reviews item but might not work with the fantastic fans?  I don't think the fan is deep enough for something like this

The Camco 45191 does look as good but if I replace the poorly reviewd hook at loop with real velco might fit our fans better?

Most use the one Fantastic Vent sells I think.

That's the exterior thing.  I don't think they make an insulated inside cover.

Ahh.. you said "vent cover".. I didn't bother to copy and paste all that link.. I usually hear those called vent cushions or pillows...

Still learning all the lingo:)

I saw one of those pillow types (one of the links i gave in original post) but seems like our fans are "deep" enough for then to really stuff into.  Guess i'll have to check my fan in a week when i get my camper from the storage place.

David's thrifty solution is a piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil and 4 pieces of tape.

I have a skylight of "non vent" size so, one of the "cushions" will not work. Enjoying an occasional afternoon nap, the light was making this hard. Also, on really hot days, I could feel the heat. In desperation one day, I tried the foil and it seems to do OK.

For a standard vent (like the bathroom), I really like my MAXX AIR II vent cover. I can have the vent open rain or shine. This type of cover is not hard to install, as it screws into the vent - not the roof. One only needs a drill and a screwdriver.

I have a pair of vent cushions from my motor home days.  They are just that, vent cushions used in standard vents without fans.  They will not fit in our pods.  I use the same cellular aluminum product that we use to insulate and black out our windows.

I did the same thing with aluminum foil with the back window on our pod, since I wanted it dark and could feel the heat when the sun was shining directly on it.
