Get the second year Forest River warranty.  Its hitch-to-bumper coverage, very cheap, and there are a few problems which may not crop up until after your second winter (e.g. decals peeling, caulking around windows/door, fibreglass delamination, and the odd appliance failure).

Thanks for your view.  I was thinking the same thing, most things will fail in the first year if they are going to fail.  I am a handy guy and plan on doing some mods.  If you know of any must do or ideas, my ears are open!
We are so excited to be R-pod owners.
Cheers,
Adam

If you make it past the first year with everything in tact or have your first year things warranty fixed you're usually in the clear and the rest is just normal maintenance after that.

There is an optional 2nd year Forest River warranty available that some owners choose to grab up.  It is not often that we see anyone take those dealer offered warranties.

Most repairs and fixes are easy enough if you're even remotely handy and the other stuff if it's going to fail it will certainly fail in the first year's warranty.

We are buying a new 2016 182G this week and they are pushing the 5 year extended warranty, $2000 and other warranty packages on us.  They seem to be more geared to the larger trailers and motorhomes.  Has anyone else passed on the warranty wished they would had purchased the extended warranty or vice versa, purchase the extended warranty and felt it was a waste of money?
