So far I have only seen two on my trip, both near Summerville SC 2 days ago. One on the road, one in the KOA where we stayed. I introduced myself and let them know about the forum! |
Friday we towed 25 miles east to a small Nat Forest Service Campground 5 miles east of Iron River Wis.
On the long 25 mile commute home we met two late model green Pods about a half mile apart.

If anyone is passing through NW Wis and needs a quick, cheap stop it's a nice little 20 site primitive campground about a mile off of US Hwy 2. Narrower but decent blacktop road. I think it's about 20 miles west of Ashland.
There are 20 sites, water and pit toilets, (no dump station) along with a pretty little 15 acre lake and a small dock. Pods will fit in almost all sites and there are about 3-5 decent sites for motor homes or bigger trailers.
$12 a night, no reservations. $6 if you have a Federal Senior Pass. I'm getting a pass later this week in Duluth. (If you want the half price discount you need your pass number on your pay envelope.)
