If you get under the rear of the Pod, you can see that the frame rails actually are not near the tail of the camper. It would be a lot of welding work to install a true steel square bumper ( I assume for the purpose of installing a bike rack or other bumper mounted accessory). The frame isn't designed with enough material to mount a large bumper.
I investigated this on my 2013 177 . I gave up after about a half hour of pondering. I ended up transferring my spare tire to the tongue with a bolt on 2" hitch adapter for square bumpers, and I use my single bike rack (1up USA) in the Pods 1-1/4" receiver. I also tie off the bike rack to some D-Rings I through bolted into the rear of the R-Pod so the bike rack can't oscillate.
