NO WATER

   Just checked at Silver Lake east El Dorado NF, California.  We were told that water will NOT be available at there campground and other California Campgrounds because of water shortages. I cancelled my reservation but I did check other campgrounds in the general area and they are furnishing water.You might check before you go. The website on recreation.gov for silver lake will l say they have water.   Good Luck

	If you go for a weekend, you can take enough in your fresh water tank that you won't need their supply. We would typically get 4 Navy showers, plus toilet flushing and hands washing over a weekend. We would take additional water for drinking and cooking.

	Dry camping for a weekend is pretty easy.. Like Doug, we fill the FW holding tank, carry drinks separate. You can also carry a couple 5 gallon jugs if needed, to top off the holding tank.. On most pods you have twice as much waste water holding as you do fresh..

	This was just a heads-up warning that water might not be available. We were booked for two weeks at this campground. They always had water for the incoming campers. I normally come in and fill when I get there. Just check the campgrounds in California for available water because of the lack of snow pack and rain. Happy Camping
