Topic: No water to sink Posted: 21 Jun 2015 at 2:45pm |
Testing out the pluming on my 2010 RP-177 that I recently bought used.
I hooked up the water hose to the city water connection and I am getting water to the shower and toilet by no water to the kitchen sink. When I first bought the pod there was some water in the fresh tank and the sink worked then on fresh but now it's not working on city connection.
Is there a valve somewhere for the sink that I am missing?
Pod has Ben sitting for 6 months when I bought it.

For grins, I filled the fresh tank and tried running it with the pump. I can get hot and cold water out of the shower and flush the toilet and hear the pump running. But no hot or cold water to the sink.
I have seen water come out of the sink before.
I am totally stumped....
help?

Take the aerator/filter off the end of the faucet and see what you get. I'm don't know of any other reason for water to be working everywhere but the sink.

Yup I came up with the same answer after tracking down the pipes for half an hour. Filter screen on the faucet aerator was totally clogged. Cleaned it out and it's all good now.
Another noob adventure...

Make sure you use a white water hose and not a green garden hose (unrelated to your original problem).

It was green to the culligan whole house filter I rigged up and then white downstream.
I think the sediment clogging the aerator was from the bottom of the fresh tank.

Just know that for regular use only use white. Green garden hoses have lead in them - ok to drink from after they run a minute but when the water sits the level gets high. Documented by Consumer Reports years ago.

Yup I let the water run a while before connecting it. This was just to test things. All of the hoses from the faucet, filter and camper are white drinking water hoses.
I drank from the hose all the time as a kid, that might explain a few things...
I've tent camped at quite a few campsites in Florida and the water always seems to suck, either it smells like sulfur or has too much chlorine. I don't drink that stuff and use bottled water to brush my teeth.
Don't drink water, fish do bad things in it. Drink beer instead!

I don't mean to hijack this thread---but this is somewhat related to white water hoses---
when we were last camping in Florida there was a terrible problem with squirrels biting into the water hoses. The campground host told us the squirrels were smart enough to know that the white hoses had water in them. they would chew through the hose and drink from the squirting leakage. We found out the hard way it is true!! after several holes and repairs to our hose, we started placing small bowls of water near the hose for the squirrels to drink from and never had another problem.

If they didn't have fluffy tails, they would be rats. I'll bring my lab mix with me, he uses real squirrels for squeaky toys.
