On the 182g it goes to gray, on the 181g it goes to black.  All depends on which tank is where in the construction.

Also in many jurisdictions a kitchen sink's drain is considered black water and not gray.

It has to do with the floorplan.. The toilet is in the back, so the BW tank is also. The garage is behind that, so it doesn't have anywhere else to go but to the BW.

I think I've heard before that the garage sink drains to the black water tank, so it may be true but it ain't right!  Are you sure that's what's happening?

J am surprised the sink goes to blackwater.  Normally that is just sewer not waste water.

Sometimes water is available, but sewer is not.  How about a lever to allow the garage sink to go into gray instead of black water tank.  I wash dishes outside, don't usually shower inside.  So the little hand washing and teeth brushing inside never fills the gray water tank, but the black fills fast.
