Topic: 2010 174 New Owner Posted: 01 Jun 2015 at 8:26pm |
Just bought a 2010 model 174 Rpod. We've had it out 3 times now, checking to make sure everything works. (It does!). Last trip we hooked up to city water and noticed water dripping at the very back corner on the slide side (?). We did not use the toilet/shower and it hasn't rained in weeks. We used the inside sink a bit and when we drained the gray water, nothing came out. Looked under the trailer and noticed a drip from a hose wrapped in black ribbed plastic. No water inside the trailer and we pulled up the plywood under the bed as well. Back corner is still slightly wet a day later. Has anyone had this issue? Obviously we have not done a serious inspection yet but I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction?

Welcome. If it was dripping before you turned anything on, you need to trace all of the water lines (hot and cold) to find your leak. As for the waste tank, if the pod is slightly unlevel side to side it can hold several gallons of water before anything will appear at the outlet. The black-ribbed hose is probably a gas line and not a water line. If you grab it and it is solid, it is a gas line. The drip is just following the opening in the floor.

Thanks Techntrek. Yes, the ribbed plastic is covering a copper pipe. (sorry, real newbie here). I think someone else here was looking for a plumbing/electrical diagram for the pod, but there wasn't one, correct? Boy, that would sure help!

We were all newbies at one time, no need to apologize. Correct, no diagrams. Trace it 'till you find it.
