With the BAL leveler, make sure to keep the large screw lubricated with lithium. If it gets dry, it will gall and wear out in a blink. The alloy they used to make it should be harder and more durable. My buddy was using his on a T@B trailer for a year, and it completely galled and became inoperable. BAL sent him the replacement parts no charge which is good, but I have used mine since last Spring and no problems yet.

Someone asked what tire pressure was being used, but I didn't see an answer.  Make sure the pod's tires are filled to the max sidewall rating.

Okay, then how will I replace the tire when one of them goes?  I've yet to get my R*Pod on the road, but it will happen soon.  I'd seen a neighbor changing a tire on his (not an R*Pod) trailer and I'd assumed that I'd do mine the same way: jack it up on the four convenient corner jacks and change the tire.

Now I guess that's not so.  Confused

Jack up your Pod with a scissor jack from your tow vehicle, or carry another jack of some sort if you have room (e.g. a floor jack or a large bottle jack).  Most of us position the jack under the axle close to the wheel.

I haven't come across the issue yet, but my plan is a) if possible call coach-net and have them do it. Or I have a small floor jack that I keep in my van when travelling. b)  I had my mechanic show me where to place it to jack it up and change a tire. if plan a didnt work

Yeah guys, don't use the stabilizers to support the trailer weight, the axle must do that. Stabilizers are NOT very strong and if you managed to have a flat on terrain that wasn't perfectly level, I would never get NEAR that repair. Those stabilizers can bend sideways in a blink. They have NO lateral strength whatsoever. The Tires/Axle support the weight of the pod and the stabilizers only there to keep it steady when parked.

Always have a car jack anyway. Use a wood block, lego block, whatever you can to use your car jack on the Pod, or get AAA RV like I have just in case. Honestly I wouldn't call AAA unless my jack failed, or it was raining cats and dogs. Then it's their problem ha ha.

Thanks John. I was looking for an excuse to buy the one type of lubricant I didn't yet buy at Canadian Tire this week ;)

I haven't checked myself, but the dealer said they were at 50 when I picked it up Friday. I'll be checking this Friday when we head out, and I've got the means to get some air added.

Okay, does anybody make a stabilizer that could serve as a leveler and a jack?  It seems that this would reduce the amount of stuff we need to carry in a situation that is short on cubic anyway.
