I installed a 12" round window in my 178 trailer today! The project went great and I love being able to look out the trailer door before opening it!!!!

Looks great! How long did it take you? Was it overly challenging?

Prep time took a while, also i took some time to look at the cut before I started! the cuttung went great (just foam and overlay). I cant belive how different it looks inside. I really enjoy being able to look out while standing inside the trailer.

Of all our mods, I think it's my favorite. Looks like you did a good job. :)

Hey Dave!
That window looks awesome. We just picked up our brand new 179 on Friday, and I'm already pushing my husband to put a window in the door (it's my #1 complaint with the trailer)...I was just wondering, where did you purchase your window from?

Hey Michelle, I ordered from Amazon. just look for 12" rv window! Looks like were almost neighbors...We just spent the past weekend at the 49ers and had a great time wine tasting. Hope you enjoy your R Pod.

We just placed the order for the window off Amazon, thanks for the tip, Dave! I showed my husband the pictures of your new window and told him it better look that good when he installs ours, or else Big smile When you cut the hole for the window, did you make the cut from the back side of the door? I assume you just used a jigsaw, right?

I debated removing the door from the trailer, but removing 18+ screws was too much! I made the cut from the outside (remember to open the door so that you don't cut the screen door). Should only take a few minutes to cut the door. It took a lot longer to post the photos :) good luck, let me know if you have any questions....
