Mods: dinette seating, pedestal table

Dinette seating:  I wasn't too keen on the light ply under the cushions, so replaced it with some 1/2" ply sealed with polyurethane.  Added piano hinges so everything stays where it should.  Curb side is shown but I did the mod to both sides.

Table:  I think the folding mechanism is cumbersome at best, plus felt like seating would be a little more convenient if the table were cut down.  I.e., easier for me to get in/out of the dinette seat.  So, first, cut off 6".  Then replaced the folding legs with a pedestal and used a nifty wall mount to keep it stable when it's being used.  When it's going to be made into a bed for the Little Girl (my granddaughter), just lift the table up off the pedestal & wall mount and place it on its rails as per usual.  Though the table is shorter, it should still be adequate sleeping spac for one person. Or two if they're real friendly.

TechnTrek has me convinced this is a good idea.  I still want one of those high-dollar surge digital surge protectors that plugs into the pedestal, but this sure beats not knowing & just hoping for the best.

Edit:  This obviously isn't a "mod"; just a cool gadget I thought was worth mentioning. 

Other mods:

1. Had a matching second battery installed at purchase.

2. Replaced the mattress.

3. Installed a Sanitube from D&W Inc for the sewer hose.  Thinking of a second one for fishing rods.

4. Battery cut-off switch.  Haven't installed it yet, though.  I'm waffling  between it and a heavy duty pull-apart connector.  (Like the Anderson connectors).  Any opinions one way or the other?

Next up:  (1) A Roth & Allen shelf from Lowe's that several of you have done.  (2) Probably need to do a cooktop cover, too. (3) Oxygenics shower head sounds like a good idea.
