Topic: Question for those who have put up curtains Posted: 18 Nov 2014 at 11:39am |
Hola Pod Peeps,
I am making curtains for Podimus. I was hoping to remove the cornices and leave the blinds. Is this possible? Or are they attched?
Thanks!

Are cornices the fabric covered things at the top? Either way, they are two separate pieces both removable or just one or the other if you so choose.

Yes, the cornices (thats what I call them) are the fabric covered thingys. And, thanks for your help. I didn't want to start taking things apart if it was all one piece.
They don't look like they are going to be fun to take down either.

I thought the "fabric covered thingys" were the valence...and the sliding folding blind is the cornice board?

Each dohickey is attached by itself is the important thing to take away from this? LOL
I only knew the blinds were blinds. The word valance seems to work in my head as well.
But yuh the blinds are screwed randomly into places above your window, the fabric thingamabobbers typically have an L bracket with one or two screws holding them to the wall.
I removed all of mine years ago, couple of screws and some odd angles at times but everything came down and went back up successfully.
