I would like to see some kind of barrier to keep items from rolling behind the counter when the slide is closed.

Would have to be something you "come up with" yourself. I have never seen any camper with such a thing, and until very recently never heard of there being an issue..

Can you post a picture of the issue area?

During my walk through the service tech pointed out that this area must be inspected before extending the slide. To do it right, you have to get on your hands and knees with a flash light and take a good look. The area with the netting in front below the fridge is stationary.

I wish I had seen a photo and warning like that! Why not just prevent it instead of issuing a warning? Where can I upload a photo?

How would you prevent it? The slide moves.. seems obvious to keep yourself and your stuff out of the way... |

I agree with you gypsy! Unfortunately a lot of trailers with slides have this problem--including my Kodiak. I particularly have to watch out for dog toys, chew bones, AND our small dogs! Even with a headlamp and on hands and knees, it's a little hard to monitor. Also, if you're a 1945gypsy, I guess I'm a 1944kickstart |

For starters, kick or otherwise ;) you would prevent it by installing a loose net shield that would simply stretch when you open the slide. When the slide is closed it would be bunched up, and would block that space. Why not?

It seems obvious...? Who are you? What kind of response is that?
