We winterized with the pink stuff, do we still need to open all faucets over winter?

Thanks,

On my 177, the inlet for the tank flush is elevated above floor level. This line drops under the floor and then up to the check valve located near the bathroom sink. That entire section of line will hold water if not blown out during winterization.

No need to do anything to the black tank one.  The valve has a gravity ball in it.  What doesn't drain into your black tank when using it, falls back out the line when you're done.   You'll always notice when you disconnect it that water will run back out of it.

I've specifically asked Forest River this question because I was curious about mine years ago when they first launched.

The fresh water also has a check valve. But you can bump the little button on the center of the hose connection under pressure with pink and that will solve that too. Some disagree, but I also put a gallon in the fresh water tank to pinkify the suction line to the pump.

Yes. but I don't think it's necessary, five minutes of compressed air would dry the pipe. However, if you do not have access to a compressor then...
Get a 1/2 female iron pipe by 3/4" male garden hose threaded adapter (large box store or plumbing supply). Connect that to your blue low point drain. Connect a clean garden hose from the low point drain to the black water flush. Put another gallon of antifreeze into the winterization hose under the bed and turn on the pump. It will pump it from the antifreeze bottle, through the low point, out the garden hose and into the black flush line.

Also remember to close all of your faucets before doing this and open them afterwards. Always store the pod over winter with open faucets.

There is a check valve on the hose connection and a vacuum breaker inside behind the sink. That one foot section will hold water unless it is dealt with. Perhaps that is why so many people have leaks on that section besides forest river installing the vacuum breaker backwards.

I blew mine out with compressed air for 5 minutes using a compressor hose adapter.

You are the first to ask as far as I know. The system empties into the black tank. so it should be empty/drained already. there is a backflow preventer, but I am not sure on it's specs. I guess I would physically look to see if it was holding any water on the outboard side of the valve.
