Interesting observation...

We just got back from a 230 mile round trip with the Pod and all our toys. I noticed a difference in towing on the highway. The Pod felt a little "lighter". We got 14.6 mpg which is a bit more than we normally get.

I'm thinking the kayaks on my roof made for a more efficient air flow. Anybody else notice this?

BTW, Elk Neck State Park is a very nice spot. Too bad we had very noisy and rude neighbors directly across from us. That's another story...

We like Elk Neck, too.

We pull our pod with an FJ Cruiser, we also have a canoe on top of the FJ. We get between 14-16 mpg with the canoe on top. I'm sure the canoe has something to do with the better gas mileage. We also don't ever go over the posted speed limit.

I like the canoe better mpg idea. Posted speed limit here in Idaho and Utah is 80mpg which is 15 mph faster than I tow. But most people are not going close to 80.
enjoy the fresh air
