Hi! We are new owners of a R-Pod 176! Took it out last weekend and had a blast.  Was wondering if anyone has had any luck with modifying the bottom bunk by lowering the bed into the storage area.
My 16 year old son has bonked his head a few times in the middle of the night and we are hoping to provide him some additional head room.
Thoughts???

We removed one half of the top bunk for this very issue. Now we use the remainder of the top bunk as storage. Also makes for a great place to put shoes on before exiting the pod as one can sit properly on the bottom bunk. Others have done this mod also. I plan on completing the mod by making the removed half a convertible bunk if our son has a friend join us or for any other reason that I may need both bunks

Enjoy the 176. It's a great camper!!
