Definitely an argument for an E2 WDH/Sway control. No problem backing with it.

Well the sway bar is a husky sway bar , the attachment that it connects to is no name and purchased from local rv repair shop.

Looking at Husky sway bars they look just like every other chinese made sway bar on the market...unless you have something different I haven't seen.
Was that bent part actually part of the sway bar or is it part of the no name mount?

It may be the Terrain we tow in or the T.V. a Chevy Trailblazer, but I use a simple friction sway bar and I have towed with and without it on hilly terrain, past semi trailers and cant tell the difference with it on or off ,, now maybe if I had a 50 mph cross wind they may be different. the Pod has never swayed or anything.

Wow that looks like a pretty stout piece of metal to bend like that!
I have never personally seen the need for a sway bar on a properly loaded trailer-  but-  I did install one for my recent 30 day 10,000 mile trip, since I already owned one that was bought on sale years ago and never used.
Frankly I could tell little if any difference other than a lot of creaking and groaning from it.
I also backed up plenty of times with it and had no issues.
I'm still a little puzzled how backing up would exert more force than going forward and bend things, unless one turned so sharp it ran out of travel, since it is possible to turn more sharply in reverse than is possible going forward.
So-  craneman- were you in a tight turn when it bent?  Trying to understand how this can happen.Confused

I'm trying to figure out just exactly when  and how. As far as needing the anti sway, well it came with
The trailer. We tried w/o it with a full tank of water and blk and gray empty and got some sway. We emptied the water tank save aprox 10 gal and helped a lot . Sooo seeing we got it with the trailer we choose to use it and we dry camp and need the water. I took it to my buddies shop and used his press and put back as new
