My wife and I made a deal on a new 2015 R Pod 179 Hood River Edition and decided we would make a 5 day trip out of it. We are from Fresno, Ca and we drove up to Tualitin Oregon to pick up our new trailer. We drove from Tualitin to the Columbia river gorge, then stayed right on the hood river. It is funny our first night camping was on the Hood River considering the hre. Then we moved on down highway 35 through the Mt. Hood national forest. We stayed on another river in the toll ridge campground which had a beautiful setting. We then moved on to the Redmond/bend area in which we had some excellent brew at the Deschutes brewing company. Our last night was staying on Lake Siskiyou which overlooked mt. Shasta. A great way to break in our new 179 before our Yellowstone trip. I forgot it was back there many times and kept steady at 60 mph. Thank you all and I hope your having as much fun as we are.

Wow, looks like a great way to break in the new POD.

The country side looks great.

Hoping to head that way sometime soon.

What type and Mfgr are the tires on the 179 HRE? Are they 14's or 15's, LT's or ST's, etc.

Yes they are made by nankang. Actually a good quality tire with solid sidewall strength. It's also a very common size so an easy swap out for some BFG mts or like.
