My towing vehicle has a 28" from the ground to the top of the ball. The trailer has 18" from the ground to the top of the ball cup. I am using a weight distro system and all the measures are from the ball installed on the WD assembly. I was wondering - what kind of high-low drop hitch are you using to level the trailer ? Thank you

My Blue Ox WDH has a lift/drop "beam" that plugs into the hitch receiver. It should give plenty of adjustment.

As I said - the measurements are AFTER the WD assembly was installed. It is set at the lowest setting. Is just happen that the TV is lifted

I have the E2 and I believe I'm using just about the biggest shank they have (it may be the biggest).  You can see it in the pic in my signature;  I don't have the spring bars in place.  It still ends up being slightly nose-up, but a full tank of fresh water just about levels it out.

I just spoke with Camco and they suggested one that drops 9.5" (http://www.camco.net/Products/Item?prodID=10838#.U3oBk15ZQV-)
... I'll see how fast I can get it. techntrek - isn't the fresh water tank on the back of the rv?

If you have the Equalizer or the E2, have you tried this tool?  http://www.equalizerhitch.com/About%20Equal-i-zer/shanksizes.php

On the 171 the fresh water tank is just in front of the axle.  You can see its outline in my sig pic, in front of the wheel to just below the door.

On my 2009 172 ... is right behind the axle. Not too smart. I did order the shank that drops 9.5" - that should get me close to reality - missing 1.5".

You could add risers to the pod if it doesn't have them.. that would lift your ball/hitch height 3 1/2 inches..

First off, my Blue Ox WDH has a receiver beam that can lift the ball 10"or drop the ball 10"by turning the beam over. Second thing; I have a lift on my Jeep and this setup works fine for me. Third thing; IF you'd give a description of the vehicle in question, it might help. Try not to be so secretive when asking for help. The more pieces to the puzzle, the more that we can offer helpful suggestions.
BTW, we will be in Colorado(from Denver to Ouray, to four corners area)this summer....
