Keep your eye out on the events sub-forum, if you would like to join this year.  Here is a link to last year's thread:  http://www.rpod-owners.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=3049&title=winter-camping-french-creek-pa

That actually sounds like fun. To me, not to wife so much. I remember scraping frost off of boat hatches before sailing to Florida from Annapolis on Nov. 28, 1981. That was a cold night on the Bay. It was fun then...

We're going to take our maiden voyage in our new 178 Pod next week to Assateague National Seashore. Sorta a shakedown cruise having never done this before on land. I did a "minor" winterization for the expected cold this week. Emptied and bypassed HW heater and emptied @ low point drains,  blew out FW lines and put a little antifreeze in traps. Should make for a quick getaway?

Weather looks pretty moderate next week with mid 60's day and mid 50's night at the beach and just maybe the stripers are running!

Anybody got experience with Assateague camping this time of year? I'm thinking we will stay at National Park rather than State Park, but that's just a guess. Doesn't really matter where we stay I guess...We are going!!

Thanks.

fred

Thanks again!!!

There will be in April probably whenever I de-winterize and sanitize.
