We are really looking forward to bringing our new 178 home next Thursday!

While it will sit in our driveway for a few days as we study, I'm still determining a resting spot on our property. I could use some advice.

How level should the pod be when storing? Obviously, I would chock the wheels but I'm curious if a slight incline fore and aft or side to side would be a problem.

When storing on a grassy area, would you use wood (pt) or cement blocks or gravel beneath the tires?

I'm sure I'll have a ton more questions when we get it. Thanks!

I always store campers at an angle to force water off the top.   Even with all of  the pod's curves there are spots on top where water will puddle.  In-camp I always level it side-to-side but keep it slightly nose down to ensure the shower drains properly (on the 171 the drain is forward, other models have it the other way around).

Personally I never use anything under the tires but some people do.

X's 2 on the angle thing. A couple/three inches higher on one side, and back to front,  will give good drainage.  I've only put something under the tires if I was afraid of a soft spot and thought the tires would sink into the ground.  A piece of scrapwood under tires certainly wouldn't hurt for peace of mind.

We park ours level and hooked up. We also have used ours as a guest room. I like it being level so when I go out to pre-cool the fridge, it's ready, rather than having to level the camper first.

Remember, like many things, there IS more than one way.

Thanks guys. I'm sure I'm over thinking this and should just concentrate on enjoying our new guest house!
