Brand new Pod Owner. Picking up my RP-178 from the dealer on Monday.
Also first time RVing. Very Excited.
Interested in any hints for new owners you Pod Vets out there have to offer.
Basic equipment list, supplies not to forget, etc. as I outfit my Pod will be most helpful.
Info unique to the I-Pod that would be helpful not to have to discover for myself.
Nice to have this forum to communicate.
Flyfishing, here I come!

Welcome to Podding, glad to have you and the Pod is a great way to break into RVing.

Pay as close attention as you can on your walkthrough Monday, some of us even went as far as to video tape our shakedowns at the dealer so we could keep everything handy.  It is a lot to remember the first time out.

Just ask them to be thorough, make sure they show you that all appliances run in all modes of use.  Run water everywhere, ya know kick the tires, push all the buttons, etc etc.  Wiggle stuff if need be to make sure it's nice and secure.

Beyond and past the walkthrough just have fun and get to know your Pod.

As the questions come later, we're here to help!!

Thanks Kymooses...good advice for delivery day. Won't videotape but my wife will have a notebook.
I just joined the forum and see everyone has a "pod name" that is visible. My full name is there and I can't seem to change it. Any ideas?

One of the admins will probably see this and can change if for you.  They will likely say something on this post quite soon and will ask you what you'd like to change it to.

Welcome.  Read all of the posts for a terrific education on what to buy.  Don't forget to replace the mattress before too long.  A back breaker.  Lots of options, read the posts.  You missed our Seaside Roundup last month.  We had 23 Rpods and 13 other Forest River products with 74 campers attending.  Check here for next years dates.  Enjoy.

Let me know what name you want and I'll make it so.  Wink

Welcome, FlyPod!  I'm not going to GET to do a walk-through on my new pod, as my brother's picking it up for me in another state.  I'm hoping a forum member that lives near me in Salt Lake City might give me a personal tutorial!

Come to Utah for some fly fishing!  Lots of trout are waiting for you!!
Happy tails and trails!
