I've noticed that the new R pods have a galvanized front on them. Mine is getting nicked and would love to have this protection. Can I get this for mine? I have a 171 2011.

Why not just apply some of the clear sheet protection film that is made for that purpose.  It is sold at some RV dealers, auto supply stores, marine shops, etc.  Much less expensive, looks good, but will eventually have to be replaced which is a very simple task.

Not at all.  This is the type film I was referring to.  It is available in a variety of sizes from different manufacturers and from various sources.

We just bought a new car that has the clear bra on it and it seems like it will work well. When I had the windows tinted the owner of the tint shop said that they can also install the clear bra on vehicles as well.

You may check with your local automotive window tint shop and see if they can add it for you if you decide to go that route.

Good ideas.... does this stuff come in colors? I have several nicks that go clear through the paint.

All the ads I have seen are clear.  It is supposed to be an "invisible" film.

Here is a solution I used when I owned motor homes or was towing large travel trailers behind our trucks. We mounted them so they were removable when not towing.
