Today I found the crank for the jacks and the manual operation of cranking in the slider on our 2010 174. The owner manual tells me I can crank it in manually but not where the crank nut ,is located. Not I don't think I'm not smart enough to figure it out but before I start tearing out hard board on the front of the couch I thought I had better ask. Moe

We don't have a 174, but my guess is the drive system for the slide is in the same place on all slide models, right side. We can just take off 1 panel (4 screws) to get to the drive point. Should not need to tear out anything, just remove a couple screws.
very few people ever need to manually retract a slide, it's not the sort of thing you want to practice. As far as quality, we have been super happy, no real problems. It's not an Airstream, and we didn't pay Airstream $$$ either. It's a little house that gets beat all around as it goes down the road, and was purposly built to be light.. As we say in the bike world: You can have cheap, light, or strong, pick 2. |

I pulled the four screws and lo and behold there it was . I now have a 3 inch hole centered on the Nut . You don't see it,and a 3/4 socket on a extension and use my 3/8 cordless drill, works perfect, also puts the jacks down too. Man life's good. Wife and I are driveway camping today getting some bugs out.
