Leaky sink drain - disaster averted!

   So, we're working out the bugs in our new pod.  The first weekend seemed to go okay. Then we found water on the floor after arriving at our next few campgrounds. After the first 6 days, we discovered a leaky sink drain. We were investigating the area under the sink, behind the 'walls' hiding the pipes, and the area behind the lower access panel. The coupler connecting the black pipe to the gray hose was inadequate and poorly designed.  Luckily, our dealer was able to direct us to the nearest FR dealer, as we are on the road, and they were able to repair the problem.  They were suprised at the poor design. 

Had we not removed the panels, we would not have discovered the problem. The water we found on the floor was minimal, but the amount of water that was escaping the drain hose and finding its way into the area under the slider was significant.  So, if you have a new pod, you might want to check your pipes and make sure the water is actually going where it is supposed to go.

	Glad you got it fixed! That's most important. What type of messed up coupler was there? I can't imagine it being inadequate or poorly designed. Didn't happen to get a pic of it did you?

	The coupler on the drain under our sink was loose, but just tightening it up fixed it. I do check it periodically.

	Tightening alone didn't solve the issue. It was a plastic O ring between the sink trap and grey drain hose. Helpful dealer along the way changed the part for a temporary fix - black rubber piece clamped on both pipes. We will created a better system once we get home. It seems backwards. One would have less possibility of leaks if the male end went into the female end, but it's upside down. So water just kept leaking. Now to try the tape on the leaky shower drain, since the space under the shower is tight...

	Ours was leaking too. Removed the wood to get to the drain to discover the drain wasn't correctly in place & wasn't tightened properly.

	We had a very minor water leak as well which I attributed to an "over-taxed" city water connection. (Too short a hose.) I believe I found and fixed the problem, and I now have a longer fresh water hose, but if we have the same problem next week, I now have another place to look. Thanks!
