JCMoran, be prepared for many in-person tours. If I made commission on all the pod tours I've given...

The Air and the shower were big for us. Camping in the pod is pure fun IMHO.

So, we got back from 1603 AD (renaissance fair in Richland, WA) last night. We love our 178 and the tips gathered from this forum has been priceless. Thank you all who shared. Traveling west on I-90 last night, a driver pulled up next to us and asked how we liked the R-pod. That was pretty cool! Over the weekend, temps were in the area of 100 degrees. The A/C worked perfectly. I'm pretty sure the money we spent on the pod was actually just for the A/C, and it's worth so much more! The rest of the pod was free. Life is good. Live well.

My wife will use the bathroom but I tend to only use it if I wake up in the middle of the night. I never use the shower which is funny because it was my wife who said she would never use a wet bath.

We resisted using the bathroom for anything when we got our popup, but once the kids got older and we couldn't split them up for showers in the bathhouse we started using the shower and toilet. We have two girls - once my oldest started asking certain questions probably around age 3 it was time. It would have taken too long in the morning to have my wife take both. Staying in the popup was so much easier! We leave our sewer hose hooked up and the gray tank valve open. Since the black tank will last for most of a week I'll wait until the day it needs to be dumped before closing the valve for the gray tank to fill it up with a few showers, then dump the black and then the gray, leaving the gray valve open again.

We're at our next destination in Colorado Springs. With the amount of people here and limited amount of showers, I think I'll be using it for the next few days! My husband has been using it everyday, but I've been the first one up and it's been too crowded. Guess that teenage boy is waking up early tomorrow and vacating my floor space:)

You would not believe how many RV'ers will not actually use their bathrooms.. Good on ya for making the step up.

Most people when camping with full hookups leave the sewer hose attached. And, yes it's a bad thing to leave the gate valve open when doing so. Very few campers do it a second time.. LOL.
It's normal to turn off the antenna booster to watch cable. That is how it knows which you are using. If you ever take that selector box out, the backside looks like part of the Terminators nervous system..

First day and night in the books here at Wrights Desert Gold RV park in Richland, WA. Has full hookups but I had to buy a 25ft coax cable to connect to the provided cable signal. Also, I found that I have to turn off the antenna booster if I'm connected to cable. I've noticed that some campers have their "stinky slinky" hooked up 24/7. If they're leaving the black water tank gate valve open as well, I think that is problematic as the solid waste isn't able to stay suspended in fluid and will not break down properly. This place is okay, but I'm looking forward to better quality parks to visit.
Day two... Begin!
