The 181 and 182 garage models have television mounted on an articulated arm but the 177 and 178 models have fixed televisions.  In our 178, watching a program from the dinette was a little awkward if you weren't on the door side.
I looked on the Forest River web site and found a list of components/suppliers and then found a company that sells the very same mount used in the garage models.  So I bought on and installed it.Smile

Very nice!  I really wish the 171 had the wall system there by the front door like your 178 does.

The TV in the 176 is also fixed.  That arm is on my wish list!  Do you happen to have the link to it?

Hi Capt.  Here is the link:

I didn't relocate the original mount so it put my television about 4" higher on the wall, but there was plenty of room.

Thank you! Good idea moving it up a bit.  My issue is that the HDMI & Aux plugs are not accessible when it's stuck so close to the wall.

I did the same with our 178 using a swing arm from Best Buy. Put it with a 19 inch TV/DVD combo where the DVD is inserted from the top. That way you swing the TV out to stick in the DVD. The TV swings out as we drive so I want to put a tether on it so I don't have to take it off the arm every time we break camp.

I've removed the Jenson LCD wall mount on my Rpod 171...but can't figure out how to remove the wall mount plate that's left. Here's a photo of it.....

the first thing I would try is removing the 2 plugs over the screw holes.. then unscrewing the mount.

I tried prying them off, but they did not appear to be removable....didn't want to gouge up the whole thing. I'll try again.
