Hmmm. I never thought about using it as extra rental income. And "cabins" make it sound so "rustic"!

Insurance company asked if I was going to rent it out.  Hope they don't read the forums....ha ha! Confused

Images must be of the type, jpg, jpeg, gif, png, and have a maximum file size of 500 KB. You can upload them directly from a post, but you can't do it from the "quick reply" at the bottom of the page. Press the Post Reply button at the lower-left, or just above the quick reply box look for the little arrow pointing up and to the right.

Once you are in the "full function" mode, look for the little picture of the tree with the green up-arrow, just above where you type your text. Follow the prompts.

What engine does your FJ have in it? It should be able to tow it with no problem. You will however need a brake controller so that you will have trailer brakes.

We towed our 179 with my sisters Honda Pilot and it worked OLK except for the gas mileage. With out the trailer and driving 70-75 mph we get 22 to 23 mpg. Towing the R Pod at 57 mph on flat level ground we only were able to get 11 mpg.

I was surprised at how much it affected the mileage.

We towed our 179 behind my sister Honda Pilot with no problem except for the mileage. Without the trailer and driving 70-75 mph we usually get 22-23 mpg. Towing the trailer at 57 mph on flat level ground at sea level we were only able to get 11 mpg.

The only thing you will need for your FJ will be a brake controller so that you will have trailer brakes.
