We just bought a 2011 177 and are looking forward to doing some traveling with it.  We retired last year and hope to go across the US (from NC) later this year.  We've learned a lot from reading posts on this site, especially about modifications to the R-Pod.
I do have a question (I'm sure I'll have many more).  What size comforter do people buy for the queen size bed?  It seems like if I buy a queen size comforter, it will hang on the floor because I can't tuck it in on the back end of the mattress.

Welcome!

We use standard queen size linens and comforters.  The extra can pile up at our feet or get pulled under the mattress.

The bed in the 177 is the same size as the one in our 171, which is 60x74.  This is just smaller than a normal Queen bed size of 60x80 and so we use standard Queen size fitted & flat sheets, which are just slightly baggy but manageable.  Since we didn't want a huge comforter that would be all piled up or hanging down at the edges we got a Twin sized one which is 68x88 and it fits in nicely with enough to "tuck in" and cover the mattress on the side of the bed showing.  A typical Queen size comforter would be 86x94.

Thanks for the info.  I was thinking of trying a twin comforter but was worried it would be too small.  It seems that the next size larger is Full/Queen which would be too big.

I would like to know what kind of modifications r-pod owners have made to their unit especially inside.  Thank you.

Hello there!

Glad to have you interested in mods some of us have done to our Pods, but quite frankly there are so many changes all of us have made spread across hundreds of threads no doubt.  It would be really hard just to throw out a list of what's been done.

The Podmods, Maintenance, Tips and Tricks section back on the main forum page would be a great star to just start checking some things out.  There are 2 or 3 threads there in the very beginning that have dozens of pages of some of the things owners have done.

Welcome and enjoy looking around.  There is tons to see here!

Parkmary, there are so many things you can do to personalize your Pod. Too many to name. Like Travis said, look under modifications for ideas. And if you have questions, this is the BEST place to find answers. By the way, we have a 177 and love, love, love it! Welcome to the forum and happy podding!
