Highlands Hammock is similar to Fort De Soto, think you would like this campground too . Not near the beaches, but compensated by  lots of lovely walks :-)

Welcome,
We visited Fort De Soto Park last month.  It was beautiful.  We plan on returning with our RPod next year.  During the winter months, we reside in Fort Myers.

Thanks for the welcome.  So far, I have not needed a sway bar; fingers crossed ! Thanks for the kind offer and keep me in mind, just in case.  Good luck and safe camping with your Vibe, a nice unit.

Welcome! That is a beautiful doll house, perhaps the biggest I have ever seen. You are not far from us in Fort Myers. We haven't left this forum even though we no longer have a r-pod which we sold after 5 years of enjoying it. Our new camper a Vibe which is a little like the r-pods has been great so far for us. If you need or would like to have a Equalizer 4,000 lb. 4 point sway control weight distributing hitch we may have one to sell in 2 weeks. Maybe my wife and I will meet you some time camping in the area.   David and Danette

We live in St. Augustine and would love to know if anything is planned this summer in Florida as well.  July/August works best for us because we are already set for a week long trip to South Carolina & GA. Not sure who plans these events but anything I can do to help let me know.

SmileHi this is Jula1961, my name is Julia and I have an Rpod 173. I live in Jacksonville, and am wanting to be active on the list in Jacksonville for possible get together s locally or not to far away. Wondered where you were camping in Jax. as i am a native. My first trip scheduled so far is down to the Swannee Park in May with my sister and her husband. they have a 27 foot camper and camp there often. My husband does professional shooting matches on the weekends and I am doing the camping :). Hope all goes well with the proton therapy.
Hoping to meet new friends.

Please add us to Fla. Podders.
We be trailer trashWink We have single wide in Sebastian Fl. (wheels removed) where we are in the winter Oct.- May. North Carolina, Raccoon Holler-Glendale Springs, summer May-Oct, where we have Mountain Cabin Jayco trailer
(4 wheels on ground). Both locations are base camps where we venture out in the Pod (2 wheels) to explore surrounds, Fl. & NC. and points in between.
Wheels on ground= 10 counting TV, as you can see I count things that require to much attention, thats how we started this RV thing- counted spark plugs, sold everything, downsized bought an RV and hit the road never looked back. Smile Thanks for reading, Dan

(ps) a pod group stayed at CG in Racoon Holler summer 2013, I did not make contact with anyone, did not have R pod then. Embarrassed
