Currently rained in and discovered that our site is beyond the range of the campground wifi :( boo. Luckily we got a great site with a wonderful view of the sea out the back window and are sipping tea and having a lazy morning in. Another unexpected bonus is that we set up the r-dome on 2 of 3 chipmunk holes and have been hearing them all morning. Chai, our poodle, knows they are out there too. Can't wait for the sun to come out so we can show her where the chippies are. It'll be poodle whack-a-mole :D

Saw another 17x series RPod in our campground but didn't get a chance to say hi since it didn't seem like anyone was home.

It's been raining non-stop since we got here and at times so hard that water was beading and misting through the r-dome.   The chipmunks got flooded out of their dens and are up in the trees. The iron fire ring overflowed over the top and there are rivers of muddy water all over the campground running over the edge into the sea.

Why do we always camp in the fall in a rainstorm?

You can't catch a break!  Had to miss the NE roundup and now rain, rain, rain.  If Noah shows up looking for a Pod tour, then you really need to worry.

Sun is finally out and looks like it will be here for at least 24 hrs until the next storm system hits us. Greg is finally biking the carriage trail but I'm still tucked in bed with the dog bc a week of cold and damp has caused my right shoulder/neck to seize up (old injury). I did remember to bring my electric heated mat but now am rethinking the whole microwave thing for heating up my neck-soothers.

Overall, Chai ranks this as the best camping vacation ever as she got to spend most of it so far, tucked in bed with us when it was raining out. Hopefully will still be sunny enough tomorrow to hike which is her second favourite activity, and her third which would be picnicing on the lawn at Jordan Pond.

I never go anywhere without my microwaveable aroma neck warmer thingy!! and of course a microwave! Hope the sun comes out today. Our Pod sits in our driveway waiting for me to finish washing and waxing it,,,but with the rain, that has been a no go.

You mentioned elsewhere that the rain was coming in so hard it was misting through the Dome.  You could try buying a 12 x 12 tarp (maybe a little bigger) to go over the top.  Go for a light color like yellow to let light through.  I do this with my EZ-ups since they aren't waterproof.

We did think of going to the Home Depot to look for a tarp, but as we're short people we'd also be shopping for a real ladder. A river of gravel and muddy water was running through the r-dome and swamping my picnic mat, so at that point we didn't bother and just stayed inside.

We really did appreciate having the back window as we could still see the sea and had a great view despite the weather. If we ever upgrade to a larger unit (our 152 was feelig really small the second day stuck in the rain) a rear window will be a must.
