I would not be surprised if the rubber gasket fell out in transportation (either from the manufacturer to the store, or after), it happens all the time. And, yes, if yours does not have one, it is probably the cause of the leak. A quick and easy fix.....

I just went out to check mine, and there is a rubber gasket on that coupler.

It leaks where the hose connects to the discharge pipe on the trailer.  I think there should be a gasket in the fitting.

Where was it leaking? Do you have the parts that are orange in this link?

Thanks for the comments.

We finally made it to the campground on Tuesday.  Funny how life always seems to get in the way.  Missing a weekend opportunity isn't as bad as it used to be.  Now that I'm retired I don't pay much attention to the day of the week anymore.

The trip went fine.  Everything worked as expected, except the water/waste discharge hose and we didn't break anything.   Although, I'm amazed at how quickly the gray water tank filled up.  I guess the discharge hose is supposed to have a gasket.  If that's the worst that happens I'll be a happy man.

Hello everyone.  Linda and I just picked up our new 2013 RP-177 and couldn't be more excited.  It's now set up in the driveway with the r-dome to check everything out and it all seems to be working just fine.  The r-dome even weathered the severe thunderstorms last night.

We've been tent, car, canoe, boat and backpack camping for decades and finally decided we were old enough to step up to a TT.  We're going to take it to Hard Labor Creek state park Saturday night for its maiden voyage.   Decided to try a campground close to home just to get all the bugs worked out.
