Thanks for all the great info & suggestions.... The 3 pugs read all the notes and talked me into the Honda EU2000i with the companion plus parallel wiring kit. Picking them up in Milwaukee this weekend. Now I am going to find a temperature alarm that will dial my phone when temp is out of range. There could be times on normal power that we could be in the show ring with 1 dog and the others in the cool Pod when power magically disappears.  Doesn't take long for the heat to really knock down a Pug. Will post photos of the PugPod & pugs next time we are out.
Cheers

Here's a place to start http://www.tempulog.com/.  Let us know what you find.

It was mentioned on this forum that a 2KW system will run the A/C but it won't start it due to the surge.  It would be worth a test to see if the A/C will stay on even if one of the generators stops.  It might, which would give you a little more margin.  That's not a replacement for the monitor, but rather a little extra insurance against using it should it work.

I got my big ladder out and changed the fan cover to the clear one.  Easy.  Then I extended myself from the ladder and took out the four screws that hold to cover for the A/C.  Found the box with the cap but did not want to stand on the unreinforced roof.  Found a dealer who will install in for a reasonable price next week.  Will then try and run it with only one Honda 2 KW.  We'll see.  Safe Travels.

With only a 1000 watt load it should be fine on one genset, running.  The capacitor just might allow it to start on one as well - but the eco setting may have to be turned off so it has enough momentum to get through the surge.
