Hi. Just joined the group. Picking up our first camper - the 176T - this weekend. We can't wait!
Big smile

We'll go to the Roundup, too. Are folks getting sites near each other, or just random sites in the campground?

Welcome!  From what I understand the campground manager will try to put us together.

Walt - I assume you need each of us to call and make a reservation and identify ourselves as part of the pod gathering?

Everyone --

I heard back from the Campground owner last evening. She has recommended that we start with sites 11 thru 14 and 8,9, 10, or 1-5 and 50, 51, 54, 54. I sent her an email and asked if we could mix and match, because some of those sites are on the common entry drive area. So I suggested 11-14 and 50-54. They are now aware of our intentions and we should each go ahead and make our reservations. Chris and I have asked for 53 (shows as a seasonal, but is now open.) I will alk with her tonite or tomorrow.

That weekend is their Chili Cook-off, so if that is one of your passions, bring the makin's along!!

I currently count six pods with the intent of being there. AS folks register, we can set up a list and decide what group activities we want to pursue. I did make a cornhole set this winter, so that will be along with us.

The campground is www.pioneercampground.com. The phone is 570-946-9971. The website has an abundance of information with clear maps and info on all the amenities.

Hi everyone,

Here is the latest as of Tuesday night, 12 June. The following is from an email from Kathy, the manager:
"What I will do in the meantime is set sites 11, 12, 13, 14, 50, 51 and 53 aside for your group and I will set you up in site #53. I think I will also set aside sites 64 and 65 for now. Your R Pod colleagues can send us reservation requests by email through our website www.pioneercampground.com or via telephone. Please ask them to mention they are part of the group. I will try to hold all of the sites until July 15th. If for some reason I reach the point that I need sites for the dates you are coming before July 15th, I'll give you a call so that you can give your members a heads up that we need to finalize your reservations, otherwise their sites may not be as close together. Since you are bringing at least 6 or 7 units, we will offer all of your members our discounted rate regardless of whether they are AAA auto club or Good Sam members, so the cost per night is $37.80 ($75.60 for the weekend)."
The rate includes electric, water hookups and cable.

PLease let me know on here when you make your reservation and which site you have chosen.

Looking forward to a fun round-up.
Walt

I just submitted my request using their form.  I only asked to be near 53, I didn't specify one of the sites listed above.

I just talked with them on the phone and firmed up my reservation.  I'll be on site 51.  She said she's had multiple inquiries just today from our group and that we've all been very prompt in taking care of business.  Big smile

We'll all be there.  I'll have to wait for my wife to get home from work, and its a 3-hour trip, so I doubt we would arrive before 8 on that Friday.

Have Amber bring her meanest chili recipe for the cook-off!

Enjoy your trip this weekend. Our next outing is the weekend after 4th of july, down near the Jersey shore.
