David, good idea on coating the terminals, the charger may get its QRM from multi vibrator circuit changing ac to ac, being a ham you understand. I think you have a great idea, put in the second battery put it in paralel with the main and that would be ok, but I think they make an isolator (maybe a hi capacity diode) that will let battery number 2 charge, but not let it drain back into the main battery or associated circuits when not charging, this keeps battery number 2 fully charged but will not let it run down in off charging conditions. oops sorry about the typo, the multi vibrator circuit changes dc to ac, then its increased in voltage and rectified back to dc.

blissful, I'm guessing you didn't see the email I sent you, you must be subscribed to this thread - and you are replying to the notifications every time someone posts here.
