Topic: Get into top bunk: Posted: 08 Dec 2011 at 9:29am |
That is really cool. We sleep in the converted dinette on ours but let the grand kids scramble into the bunks. I have thought about sleeping in the bunks and guess I will need to try that sone. Have been doing cold weather camping over the thanksgiving holiday and that is a new experience. Thanks for the idea, wil get started on it soon. Love your drawers under the bunk, wish I was brave enought to try building those.

Podsible Dream: Funny you should ask, the owner of the dealership where we bought our pod asked me the same thing. It is very simple, there is 2 x 4 on the flat in the corner, the flat side is facing the door, so you have 3 1/2" of solid wood to work with.

Very nice! How do you connect to the wall? Mollys or expandable plastic?

Ah, I would have thought it was a very small night stand. Nice. We have a step stool out every night so I can step over my wife and then step down. Not easy but the only option in the 171.

I am 6' tall 165# and I am not as young as I use to be. I did not want a ladder or a steppingstool in the way. Instead I attached a little step on the wall. I stand with my back to the bunk, put my right foot on the step, my right hand on the showerdoor, my left hand on the upper bunk ledge, stand up on step and sit on bunk. .
