I've seen that box-and-counter system in person!  Smile

Where at in the Pine Barrens?  I've stayed at Wharton State Forest, Atsion, Lebanon State Forest and others.

This trip was to Turkey Swamp, a Monmouth County park. It has a lovely campground with 63 sites with water and electric. All sites are one way pull thru parallel to the road with large tables and a fire ring. Nice bath house with a laundry took. Park has nice lake and hiking trails. it is just south of Freehold and north of I195.
We also camped down at a private campground near Bass River, called Timberline Lake in August. That's when the dome proved it's worth in a terrific thunderstorm!

Doug, we're going over to French Creek for Thursday thru Saturday of thanksgiving weekend. We'll give a report. Glad you like the camp kitchen

We plan to be there in January with Techntrek and anyone else brave enough to brave the weather! Have you made reservations yet?

So far it looks like the three of us. Maybe it's time to renew the thread?

January camping? brrr!

Actually, it's more the issue of black ice and heavy fog on the roads by us :( Not exactly ideal towing conditions.

If it's warm then, maybe I can talk G into it ;)

I'm currently just trying to figure out the best way to organize our stuff inside the pod.  There were some Ikea thin plywood desktop organizers I had wanted to mod, but they are discontinued and so I think we may have to build our own.  Your outdoor kitchen system is awesome BTW :)

We don't have much room in the 152 for storage and people, so whatever we do has to be small and comfortable enough for when we overnight somewhere enroute.  Most of the time, we bring soft-coolers instead of the large hardsided one and all our outdoor furniture rolls into their own bag.
